Bethel Park High School winter sports officially begin Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, with try-outs and practices scheduled by sport and team.

Bethel Park High School students Cami Fisher and Nora Welch are turning tragedy into action through a DECA Community Awareness Project to promote water safety, honor the memory of a late teacher, and support the Big Heart Scholarship.

Bethel Park High School sophomores Leena Miloua and Andrea Solorzano launched BP Career Connect, a new program that gives students hands-on career exploration through job shadows, field trips, and guest speakers. Open to all students, the initiative is currently recruiting local professionals to serve as mentors and will be presented at the 2026 DECA State Conference.

Bethel Park High School sophomores Marisa Whitmer and Emma Farrell are combining their marketing skills and community spirit to support Project Linus. This organization provides handmade blankets to infants in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) throughout the region.

Bethel Park High School’s Advanced Culinary students turned up the heat recently during a student-led chili cook-off that generated excitement throughout the building.

DECA members Nolan Laskovich, Carly Conroy, and Carson Foote are hosting Hearts and House Bingo, a fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh and Morgantown, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 1 in the Independence Middle School cafeteria. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Bethel Park Superintendent Dr. James Walsh will retire at the end of the 2025–26 school year after five years of transformative leadership marked by facility upgrades, academic innovation, and record student achievement. Community leaders praised his student-first vision and lasting impact.

Independence Middle School honored its October Students of the Month for academic achievement, leadership, and positive contributions to the school and community.

Earlier today, Bethel Park High School German students had the opportunity to explore German heritage through an engaging program at the Bethel Park Historical Society, in partnership with the Heinz History Center's Unlock Your History initiative.

Crumbl Cookies recently announced its September 2025 Students of the Month. The honorees receive a certificate acknowledging their contribution to their school and community and a Bethel Park t-shirt. They also receive a $15 gift card and a free cookie from Crumbl Cookies.
