Bethel Park junior earns countywide recognition for poetry

Bethel Park High School junior Tessa Braham has earned countywide recognition for her creative writing.

Two of Braham's poems, "The Tragedy of a Dream" and "The Incomprehensible," were selected for publication in the “2026 Ralph Munn Creative Writing Anthology,” which will be distributed to all Allegheny County public libraries in late fall.

"The Tragedy of a Dream" was highly rated and drew high praise from author and contest judge Jan Beatty, who gave Braham personalized feedback.

Braham will appear live on the radio program "The Saturday Light Brigade" on Oct. 17, where she will read and discuss "The Tragedy of a Dream."

This is Braham's second year entering the Ralph Munn Creative Writing Contest. Last year, her poem "Our Martyr" was published in the anthology.
