Bethel Park High School Honors and AP German students earned multiple national honors on the 66th annual National German Exam, sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of German. Competing among more than 12,000 students nationwide, BPHS students received three Gold Awards, seven Silver Awards, one Bronze Award, and five Achievement Awards on the 2026 exams.
On the Level 4 exam, seniors Katharine Tabler (98th percentile) and Benjamin Campbell (95th percentile), and junior Adele Stamenov (95th percentile) earned Gold Awards (90th percentile or higher). Campbell and Stamenov qualified to apply for a summer study scholarship in Germany; Tabler is ineligible after spending her junior year studying in Germany through the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange program.
Silver Awards on the Level 4 exam went to seniors Samuel Hoppe (86th percentile), Holly McGough (80th percentile), and Colin Finnegan (80th percentile), and junior Gillian Uhl (84th percentile). Senior Christian Tabler earned a Bronze Award with a 74th percentile score. Juniors Sydney Miller, Reed Zeis, and Zoey Roberts received Achievement Awards.
On the Level 3 exam, sophomores Thomas Guenther (82nd percentile), Matthew Williams (81st percentile), and Tessa Braham (81st percentile) earned Silver Awards, while sophomores Eliza Sterbal and Nathaniel Stewart received Achievement Awards.
