December Rotary Student of the Month: Grace Perdziola

Bethel Park High School has named senior Grace Perdziola its December 2025 Rotary Student of the Month, recognizing her academic excellence, leadership, and service to the school community.

Perdziola holds a 4.529 weighted GPA and has been a consistent leader throughout high school. She has served as Class President for all four years, overseeing major projects including fundraising for prom and senior events that have generated more than $15,000. She is also Vice President of Student Government, having previously served as a homeroom representative, senator, and treasurer. In SGA, she has helped coordinate service events, served as co-chair of the Community Service Committee, and currently chairs the Staff Appreciation Committee.

A strong STEM advocate, Perdziola is president of the Girls in Engineering Club, which works to build community among young women pursuing STEM careers. The club partners with local Girl Scout troops for outreach and regularly hosts women engineers who speak with students about career pathways. A longtime Girl Scout, Perdziola is currently considering a project for her Gold Award. “Girls in Engineering means a lot to me,” she said. “We’re trying to create a community of girls in STEM and inspire younger students to follow the same path.”

Her involvement spans academics, the arts, and service. Perdziola is president of the French Club, where members raised funds to support a student in Haiti, and she is a two-time silver medalist in Le Grand Concours and a member of both the National Honor Society and the French NHS. She also serves as co-chair of PR and fundraising for the Environmental Club alongside Ellie Briggs.

An accomplished violinist, Perdziola is a member of the Chamber Orchestra, performs in the pit orchestra for the school musical, and has played Christmas music at the mall and senior homes. She also works part-time in guest services at Hello Bistro in Upper St. Clair.

Her academic honors include being named a National Merit Scholar, receiving the Brown University Book Award, and earning a Certificate of Merit from the Society of Women Engineers in recognition of her outstanding achievement in math and science.

Perdziola plans to major in engineering and is awaiting her college decision. She is the daughter of Nancy and Richard Perdziola and the sister of Alex ’19 and Nick ’23.

Bethel Park High School Principal Mrs. Racquel Sutton said Perdziola’s leadership, service, and well-rounded involvement make her an exemplary choice for the Rotary honor.
